Today, where issues such as environmental health, climate change and planetary health are gaining great importance, the 7th International Biocidal Congress, within the framework of the theme "Planetary Health and Biocidals", Biocidal occupational and environmental health association, Ankara Ufuk University, Çukurova University, Ege University, Istanbul Bilgi University' it will be held in Antalya between 13-17 November 2024 in cooperation of.
The 6th International Biocidal Congress, held between 17-20 November 2022, was successfully completed with the participation of 370 people, including a total of 61 academics and speakers, 18 from abroad and 43 from the domestic. It has been made. 10 sessions, 3 panels, 2 workshops were held in our Congress, 13 oral presentations were presented, 14 posters were exhibited.
Our congress, organized for the aim of supporting environmental approaches, disseminating good practice examples and supporting safe biocidal practices, was organized by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and the European Confederation of Pest Management Associations (institutions and organizations such as CEPA) that play a major role in the international arena are supported. This year, in our congress where we are planning to increase international participation, biocidal products with and without active ingredients: current legislation and practices, european union green agreement and its results, present and future of biocidal industry, biocidal products with and without active substances: biocidal products and climate change, sustainability in biocidal products, risk assessment, risk management main topics such as , impacts on the environment and human health, one health approach and alternative practices will be discussed.
In addition to these issues, biocidal product regulations, purchasing processes, problems and solution suggestions in pest control applications, specifically by local governments and hospitals, which are one of the main stakeholders in the use of biocidal products. On many issues, such as employee safety, manufacturing companies, users, academics and it will be addressed together with those who work in the field of environmental health. On the other hand, biocidals are included in our congress program with the purpose of disseminating good practice examples in turkey and the world.In addition to these issues, biocidal product regulations, purchasing processes, problems and solution suggestions in pest control applications, specifically by local governments and hospitals, which are one of the main stakeholders in the use of biocidal products. On many issues, such as employee safety, manufacturing companies, users, academics and it will be addressed together with those who work in the field of environmental health. On the other hand, within our congress program, a "Healthy cities and healthy municipality" workshop will be held this year, specifically on biocidals, with the purpose of disseminating good practice examples in turkey and the world, and the floor of many local and foreign municipalities it is planned to increase cooperations with limi within the scope of healthier cities. Supported by many institutions and organizations such as echa and cepa, which play a major role in the international arena, working in this field with the authorities of european union member countries, universities, hospitals, municipalities, sector representatives from domestic and abroad. Researchers will participate in antalya on 13-17 November 2024.
